Originally published newspaper and magazine photos went through a series of technical processes. Colour was removed and shapes were reduced. FoKoDi is an abbreviation and formula for this technical side. Its patent-like secrecy suggests an economic character.
In contrast, the artist now uses his subjective conception of the order of colour and form. However, he is willing to talk about this emotional part of the work and here advertises a personal side.
Although he is very authoritative in his interpretation, he leaves the viewer their own freedom to perceive the FoKoDi Painting and develop their imagination. This consistent series of pictures is the first closed one in Waury's oeuvre. |
