Here, natural objects and geometric order encounter one another in a state of immediate tension. Organic material meets rising, vertical rectangular forms; matte surfaces meet reflections; natural shapes meet traces of human presence.

Many ideas that would later find their philosophical distillation in theinterpicutres series are already foreshadowed here—
yet in a more visceral, experimental, and material way.
